My first problem with the 8

Over the last year ive read quite a bit about the problems other 8 owners have been having. Im happy to say that I havent really had any issues with the car. Unfortunately, I just noticed something that pissed me off big time. The stupid e-brake handle is cracked right at the rubber part at its base. I remember reading that this was a pretty common problem but it sucks when it finally happens to you. Oh well, car still kicks *** and I still love the interior, its just unfortunate that this piece of the interior was so poorly designed. My car is only one year old, less than 10,000 miles on it. Anyone know if this part is warrantied?

Some people have been able to get it covered under warranty other have not had much luck. (since according to dealerships, that piece is purely cosmetic)

I believe people in "colder" states have had problems getting it fixed since it seems to happen more often.

Man thats pretty bad news. I guess i'll just ask my service department when I call to make an appointment regarding the brake squeal. I think there is a new bulletin out that finally includes the 05's so I should check it out. Thanks Jedi
