My 30 hour mazda trip...

Yesterday @ 930 am i brought my little baby to the mazda dealership to get things fixed...30 hours later i got him back to only return tomrrow again. *sigh*

I've noticed my car slowly acting very very strange, so i finally gave in to take him in. I now have/will be put on tomrrow: new front rotors, new brake pads, new seat belt and steering wheel, and the N flash.

My brakes had been squealing like a little piggy, so i took it in and gave them the bulliton for it, and it was taken care of.

I told them that there was a rattle coming from the steering wheel and i figured it was because of the air bag recall, but that had already been done. Turns out sombody at the dealership was a moron and did it wrong so now i am getting a new wheel or something like that. lol.

There was also a rattle coming from the door. They checked it out and it turned out to be the seat belt. WTF...my seat belt rattleing? that can't be safe...so that too gets put on tomrrow.

there was also ANOTHER rattle (i swear my car must be 15 years old) coming from by the clutch. This i thought was the heat shield, but that too had been replaced all ready...that was also part of the steering wheel that was rattleing, but also i belive they tightend my clutch because it feels a TON better.

The N flash is remarkable. My exhaust sounds louder, my car idles better, and overall my driving experiance with my baby is better too. I thought my gas guage was broken because i had driven 20 mi w/o it moving, so i started going up to 9k from every light. FINALLY after about 10-15 mi. more i got it to move some. The N flash def. helps with gas MI as well. I had the M flash before this, but the N is remarkable in compairison. It also feels like there is more power at the bottem end as well..(more torque perhaps?? )

So tomrrow i will have my new wheel, pads and seatbelt...finally my car will be ok for awhile (at least i hope so!). My new tires get put on tomrrow too as well as my oil changed. My baby got a face life

OH! and the best part...i was talking to the main service person (who happends to be an awesome chick) and she told me the parts manager is looking for girls to work at the dealership...guess who gets to go talk to them about a job there tomrrow.... :D wish me luck! :D :D

Good luck Morgan! I got the N flash today too. It definitely starts SOOOOO much easier now. I will be watching the fuel consumption as well, but nothing noiced yet. I was pissed leaving the shop so I was not paying attention.

I have to drive 28 miles to the dealership for service, yes it is the closest, and I have to go back for a THIRD appointment because the service and parts depts cannot get their crap together. The first time I went to get the N flash they had issues with WDS, and the seat back that they ordered was the passenger side part in the drivers side box. Not their fault. Then this is the part that is chapping my a$$...when I told them about the cappuccino froth they had to order the tube, but would not take my word for it that they would have to replace the dipstick as the stock dipstick was too thick, well the TSB was worded so that they thought they did not have to order the dipstick too. Thus they did not. So, when I showed up for this appt they had ordered the same part number dipstick as the one I already have not the one from the TSB, which means ANOTHER trip. Now my climate control **** broke and the service manager forgot to tell the parts guy to order a new one for this appointment, so that is now on order as well. I really hate to have to trust my car to these clowns, I wish they would bring back the previous manager he was 1000% better than this guy.

Sad..

Maybe a trip to a dealer in Atl would be worth the trip?

It's hard enough getting time off work for the trip to Macon, and of course there are never any loaner cars available and they won't drive me all the way back to the base with their shuttle. The person that works for me that was assisting with my dealer trips no longer lives up in Macon, he got tired of the commute. I wish I had a way to get the number for the regional service manager to complain. Don't want to do it to the dealership as they have been hell on me already.
