MM Greddy turbo Hardware

ok i have a greddy kit with theupgraded turbo from mm purchased from paulmasoner

ive been in the process of pieceing the rest of the kit together.. I have the oil lines, gaskets, most of the bolts, actuator arm, etc etc

my issue is im trying to put the actuator arm but it only seems to screw about half a inch then doesnt go any further.. i purchased it from ATPturbo.com and it does not fit, ive tried contacting MM but no reply.. if anyone knows how i could make this work or where i could find the correct actuator piece. ive been searching and searching.. kinda hard when you dont know the brand of the wastegate.

also another question.. once the wastegate is connected how is it held in place? is there a clip or pin? i cant seem to find a hole for a pin

any help is appreciated

-Martin

are you saying the arm is too long? you could always cut the threads to make it shorter.

use a clip to snap onto the arm on the turbine housing. any clip will do.

don't force it...
I may be wrong but I think MM used the greddy actuator and modified it to work with the garrett turbo

hmm i think my only other option is to cut the threading and get another welded on there.. cause this actuator arm doesnt seem to wanna bolt on there . this is how muc is now re threaded..

___/______ <<<< the bolt

Hey Martin, glad to see your getting things rolling

if i understand you correctly, and from trying to remember the smaller bits of the kit i think here is what you are dealing with:

(note, unrelated turbo and pic - i didnt mark it up, just found the pic on the web so disregard everything but the clip and rod end pointed out)

if you want to use the actuator that MM modified to work and mount to the Garrett turbo all you need is the C-clip pointed out in that picture, and the eyelet that it clips over - the one at the end of the actuator arm that you can adjust a little via screwing in/out.... i think thats what you're reffering to right

if i'm on the right track http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...gory_Code=WGT2 and the retaining clip is all you need to use the actuator that came with it. less than $10

plus side of using the actuator you have is the bracket to mount it to the turbo is already there

thanks bro!!! yeah that is the actuator arm piece that i purchased. im gonna have to order thatn retaining clip.. unless home depot has something like that. not sure.

you still have the 8? yeah i just got all of my gauges installed the other day. All that is needed now is to get te fuel pressure, egt, and boost sensors in so they can read data.

thanks for the information! yeah that was the exact part that i was talking about.
