Mileage tips for the noob rx8'er
I bought my new 6 speed a couple days ago. I travel 86 miles a day, round trip to work, all freeway.
Are there any good tips out there for getting the best fuel mileage?
I have heard that there are secondary fuel injectors that kick in at 3700 rpm. Is that true?
Tell me some of your new rx8 experiences, good or bad. I just want to learn how to treat her right.
thanks.

cruise control is your friend, and keep it around 70mph/3500rpm for good fuel efficiency.
however, DO NOT USE CRUISE CONTROL if you have a brand new car and still in break-in period. You need to vary the rpm frequently during the first 600 miles during break-in.
search 'new car break-in' for more break-in info.
good luck

Thanks all. I have been enjoying breaking in my new baby and have come to the conclusion that i don't care one bit about my mileage!!!
I feel bad for all the other schmucks I pass on the way to work (at 5 am). I actually enjoy my 40 minute commute!
I just hope i don't get in trouble. I am a cop and my fellow officers may look poorly on having to arrest me for doing 120 in a 65. Come to think of it, my wife might not like that either. (chuckle)
