I don't see any problems there. The throttle is electronically controlled, and given the temperature, I'm sure the ECU just paused for a moment before deciding to increase the rpm of the idle.
I wouldn't worry about it. Given the bits of metal on your ESS, I'd definitely say you solved the problem.
