Melted O2 Sensor Connectors

I have been getting terrible gas mileage lately so I decided to take a look underneath the car. I found the rear o2 sensor connectors completely melted together. Some of the wires on the harness side are melted as well. I have a high flow cat which may have caused this problem but my warranty has expired anyway. Does anyone out there have an easier and cheaper fix than replacing the entire engine wire harness? A friend of mine suggested cutting the burnt part of the wires away from the harness side and using new 4 pin connectors along with a new o2 sensor. Please help!

Are you missing the bracket where the plastic coupling mounts? Not sure how these pieces could melt if they’re secured. Look for a local part out car and get the harness that way. A lot cheaper than new. More than likely the first thing sold from a parts car is the factory mid pipe so there should be room to harvest what you need.

Ya it's worth a look. Any ideas on maybe a universal pig tail or anything?
