So its easter friday.. Happy Easter everyone by the way. I figured since i have the day off ill try to fix anything i can on my car. Fix a few flaws here and there. ONe of the things that bothers me is when i open my sun roof certain parts as its opening vibrates like hell. When i close it, no sound. I tried lubricating the rails but it made it worse . Tried wiping any dust stuff like that. Any other ideas about what i can do.

 

what type of grease did you use?
I used white lithium grease and it worked like a champ.

 

^ I used Silicon Lubricant. Same stuff ive used to lubricate my clutch sometimes too.

 

Wrong grease.
Get something thicker and longer lasting as Jedi said.

Went to canadian tire a few minutes ago to pick up the white litium grease. And for the most part it worked but still vibrates a bit !!!!! Ive seen rx8s that make NO NOISE when they open the sunroof. I literally kept pressing the nozzle for a good 5 seconds so i put quite a bit lol. Hopefully over time the vibrations stop

 

Change the rails!
