Umm, that wasn't sarcasm...that was on a literal note. He actually MUSN'T know anything particualry about rx8's because I even asked him had he done many and he said only a few because he specilises in old school rotories, they were littered around his workout.

that was actually on a literal note...I was actually saying he musn't know particulary about the renesis engine more so on old school rotories as they littered his workshop

lol to think it only hit 100,000km last week, significantly less engine life than expected!

Mazda seriously fucked up the stock builds, it's a shame because just a few minor changes during a rebuild greatly improve our engine's reliability.

The funny thing is is that the Mazda rotary design hasn't really changed dramatically over the years. I don't understand why your mechanic only good with old school rotors but thinks that sub 90psi is ok for a renny.

Well the renesis is a completely different beast when it comes to building and tuning it.
Some tuners are narrow minded and can't get out of their "tested and proven" mentality.
