CO A little help...

OK long story short, about a month ago, I had a mess of issues that came with a P0301 CEL code. Replaced the spark plugs, it went away.

Came back 2 days later.
Took it back to the my mechanic and this time P0302 Rear rotor misfire detected Flash/ON 1 or 2 Misfire throws. Replaced the Coil Packs and things were great again for another 3-4 days then P0302 came back again.

So figuring it was a bad spark plug, we swapped out the plugs under warranty and it went away for 2 days, then it came back. This time did the plug wires.

Changed the wires and it the CEL went away for about 4 hours. And now it's back. Anyone else run in to this and even better yet...anything else I can look to swap out to correct the issue?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Please give us some more info...Year,A/T or M/T , did you clear and reset. How many miles? What service and parts has the car had? Have you been having any other problems. What mods have you got? Have you tried any de-carbon cleaning?

2004 6 speed, with 75K miles on it. All services have been done up to date. Codes were reset. The only mod is Mazdaspeed CAI. Carbon cleaning was just done to see if that would help. No suck luck. Mechanic is leaning towards blown apex seals. I wonder because the power seems strong. I do get some blue smoke when the car sits for more than 8 hours.

Blown Apex seals would be rather obvious as the car would run terrible if at all.

Is the dealer performing any kind of PCM reset when they perform this work?
