I bought the car and all it came with is the valet key. My girlfreind bought me a remote/blade. i was able to program the keyless entry myself but heard that i have to get the key programmed or it will disable my ignition if i try to start it again on the 2nd or 3rd try.

My question is do i need to take it to the dealer to get this programmed? its gonna cost me about $100 just to program a dam key there. Any suggestions? Can a locksmith do this?

 

I heard you can program it yourself and I have seen guides online. The locksmith is only able to cut the key for you to match the valet key.

 

Correct there is away to program it yourself IF you have 2 keys already. I only have the one valet...
