JDM Corner customization
Ok guys, I've been searching a lot and am just not having any luck.
I know there's plenty of threads on opening up headlights and different ways of customizing our tail lights.
My question is, on the clear JDM lights, has anyone ever tried to open these to perhaps paint the housing to better match our headlights?
I like the clear look but would rather paint the housing black with amber LED's behind it.
I tried "baking" the lenses but had no luck opening them up.
I did see a picture from RX8 club's own nycdriftking, that had an led strip behind it, so I'm sure its been done before.
Hopefully someone will chime in
thanks guys

JDM (and OEM USDM) sidemarkers are a PITA to open/bake.
Ebay already sells what you are looking to make (clear lens, black reflector, put whatever bulb color you want) and those after market corner lenses are much easier to open.
If you want to customize the ones you have, take your time. they are glued together so they will break if you force them too much.
