issues with stock clutch...(i need help...)
over the past few weeks or so my clutch has been squeaking everytime i pressed the pedal. i really havent paid too much attention to it because it comes and goes. it is not a loud or annoying squeak. this morning during some heavy rain and very humid conditions, it was squeaking more than usual. i was on my way back to my office from a meeting for work. i got on to the interstate and as i entered third gear, i noticed it was difficult to change gears. the clutch was getting really soft. too soft. i managed to make it into fifth and when i tried sixth, the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. i pulled up the pedal and figured, this isnt good. needless to say it took me forever to get to work because the car would not go in gear. i finally got it into second and left it. i drove six miles in second at 40mph. when i made it to my office, i noticed that when i started pressing the clutch pedal it would suck itself to the floor but it still had some pressure to depress it all the way down. then i looked down and my clutch pedal has shifted to the right almost touching my brake pedal. it is also at an angle. i have no fluid leaks what so ever. could the be that the linkage or quadrant has broken? or should i consider slave or master cylinder? or possibly a new clutch and flywheel? any help or comments would greatly be appreciated.

Refer to pics in the link I posted above and see what others have encountered and where the failure point is.
Then, look at your assembly and see if you can notice any indication of possible metal fatigue.
Press in the pedal while you're under there and see/hear where its coming from... could just be the spring that is squeaking.

Good morning all, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who replied. it was, indeed, the clutch pedal bracket. it took me a couple hours to fix. the bracket was shrapnel. i made my own reinforcements for it and had to reinforce the bushings for the spring because they had broke and the spring was carving the metal around it. i put it all back together and my clutch pedal is just about as tight as it has ever been. no more squeaking or softness in the pedal. thanks for everyone's help.
