idle issues

I installed a K&N intake, and I"m haveing idle issues. For some reason w/ the A/C on, my idle keeps jumping. Does anyone know what the valve is on air box, it has a green connector on it. Or what I should do w/ the air hose in the stock box. Any help is much appreciated.

Sounds like you didnt follow your instructions very well. My K&N kit didnt have anything left undone and has worked beautifully since i put it in.

i got a revi air box and it uses a screen to help with idle issues. did you take the screens off when you installed your k&n? maybe putting it back in will help.

Thanks

Thanks for the help, but i was actully changing out the AEM intake. I can't use that system here in Miami. The AEM intake was installed by the dealership by the previous owner. In the bottom of the stock air box there is a air line hooked up to a metal line that is in the box. Not sure if it should be connected to anything. By the way any idea of the valve I'm talking about, since your quick to respond THANKs

is it the line that hooks up all the way to the bottom of the throttle body? if it is, then that is useless. the instructions on my intake says to take off that line and PLUG UP the hole it leaves under the throttle body. here's a pic: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...cing+beat+revi .

13beast thank you very much, but what about the sensor w/ the green connector. Do I just unplug it and remove it?

if it's the one with maf, then yes. i just tied mine around the maf sensor line with electrical tape so it doesnt flap around. i didn't want to cut just in case it might be of further use later on. you might want to tie the rest of the lines (lines that were connected to the stock air box tray), with tie wrap or zip ties.
