Huge power loss after coil change.

Not sure what happened but I've lost almost all throttle response and power after and ignition coil change. Last weekend I cleaned my ssv, changed plugs, wires and put in optima, but didn't have time for the coils. I put them in this weekend and the car is garbage.

I checked all connections and plug wires and its all on there solidly. 8k rpm feels like what 3k use to. When I give it gas at lower rpm it sounds like a gargle instead of a wind like it use to. I floored it at 5k and it accelerated a 2mph per second. It made me want to hit a tree.

Is there any way to test these outside of the car so I can try to send them back? Oh and the coils I took out had 48k miles on them and ran like new after I did the tune up last weekend.

You could always drop the old ones back in and see if it goes back to normal

Thats what i had to do last weekend. Two weekends ago it flooded for the second time in 7 years after putting the new coils on. I put all the old componets in (plugs, wires, coils) and systematically put the new stuff back on including a new optima and friday it ran fantastic, did the coils saturday and then monday when i took it to work it was terrible. Im putting the old one back in and trying to return the whole set of four now without trouble shooting which specific one is the problem.

If they take them back without making me take another set I will just do the yukon coils like i should have done in the begining but "didnt have time for"

Sounds like a plan. If they make you just take replacements, then they'll probably be just fine anyway
