Heater problem
Hi Guys i am from thre UK.
New to the forum but find it great either way !
Anyway i have a small problem that i cant get anyone to solve, here is the problem.
When i turn the heater on i get hot air only on the passenger side, there is some very luke warm air coming to the drivers (right side) vent above the radio but almost cold from the foot well and vent on the side window, on top of that the speed the air comes out is fast on the passenger side, around 20% on the driver feet, 60% from the dash and 30% from the side window vent.
I have been told its a heater matrix problem, this i can understand if the air power was the same but heat diffrent but not in this case, so can anyone shead some light as to what the problem might be.
P.S i have fitted new cabin filters so know its not that !
Thanks
Tez

Look into the A/C system 'blend door'. There is a 'door' (a valve really) that is supposed to mix cold air from the AC system with hot air from the heater core to produce the temperature you desire from the vents. It sounds like there is something wrong with this part of the system, and it is pulling both streams, but sending them in separate directions. It would be more than just the door stuck in the wrong position. Possibly some of the air ducting has shifted and is out of place?

Look through the HVAC section for the system design.
