anyways, the main thing is probably the ID of the tubing is too small. Go back to stock.

hmm confused on what to do. Will i get more gains from the aem? i was thinking since its having massive air flow and running too rich it would be good. as if its gaining a lot of air. Anyone know the inner diameter of the AEM?

running rich is not a good thing, more power is gained by running leaner actually....but running too lean will cause detonation

I think the AEM is 3.25"

someone correct me if I am wrong.

When you put the stock back on, remove the plastic air flow constrictors - there is a write up in the DIY section.

I would talk with someone that has the AEM intake before spending anymore money on the project. Make sure its what you really want.

I bought my car with a Racing Beat intake, but I bet a K&N filter with the stock air box and a ram air duct would be more than fine.

Many have (or had) the AEM intake.
I had AEM before I swapped it for the Racing Beat.
Anyway, what is your question about AEM CAI?
I'm sure someone can help.

Is the racing beat with air duct better than the AEM CAI for gains and power? and what is the ID of it?

Neither will give you noticeable power.
AEM was louder for me, but the RB had its own unique sound that I liked.
I ended up selling my AEM for the RB because I would get water on my filter and the water would collect inside the pipe and screw around with my MAF sensor.
Yes, the AEM filter came with a sock, but that won't stop liquid from reaching the filter.
And removing the filter and letting it air dry took awhile.
