so i was driving my car just fine, parked at the liquor store and when it was time for me to leave i turned on the car and the power steering light came on all of a sudden. im not too great with these things so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

go straight to the dealer with it, the power steering is a electric problem.

 

i never saw the light but my power harness was shot . So probably its nothing. take it to the dealer and give us an update.

 

I had the power steering fail on me this weekend too. My situation sounds the same as yours. I have yet to goto the dealer but is there anything I could do to solve the problem myself till I get the time to go on the weekend for service? Does anyone have any information?

 

Try a search of the forum. There's a lot of good info on here related to just about any problem you may have. No doubt there are some threads that will provide more information on your problem.

well... well... well..!!! my car visit 8 time with the same problem ,and they never found the problem.
What year it`s your car ? maybe it`s a problem in some car,we never know.

 

well, i havent taken it to the dealer but i will as soon as i get a chance. so this is an electrical issue? hopefully its nothing serious.

 

you know how many times my car with the same problem? 8 time ,they told me first electrical,2nd time computer,3rd time eps module,4th time 3 wiring hardness,5 times need to restart the computer,6 time water in the eps,7 time water again,8 time they don`t know!
you know something I`m not beleive in nothing they said I never drive my car in flood areas,the only they don`t know the problem
