Help! damper fall out of my glove box

This damper fall out of my glove box area and i dont know where it mounts to.

Any advice?

Fixed your thread title, please don't use 'help', it says nothing.

If you look closely on the door side of your glovebox, you'll see the mounts for your damper, but they are prolly damaged, or it would still be hangin in there.

To get it back on the glovebox end you have to put it on then kind of tetris it into position.

Okay, I know where the part connects to the glove box. but i dont know where the other piece connects to the car...

its push in, took me no more than 30 seconds to push the old broken one out and push the new one in.

You should see the Mazda Service instructions - it says to remove the dash!

Seriously!

The tech was just about to start all the unscrewage when I snapped the new arm out of its mount and told him "here, just push this into the old mount"

Still confused

Is this where the damper connects to the car? It looks broken and i cant get it on.

lol. yea I noticed what the FSM saids about this piece. I was like get out of here, no way I'm going to remove the whole dash just to fix that.

I can't see your pics. Well if you broke the tab then the only choice you have is to remove the dash, unscrew the mount and install new mount with the piece ... which is MAJOR PITA.

try to play around with it first, use some logical sense and imagine how the piece can hold your glove box. and see if you can snap it back into it's position.
