Damn. Well I'd say that most likely solves your problem. I'm gonna rip mine down and check my wiring as well as replace all the o-rings and check resistance on my injectors. Maybe I'm having the same issue after all.

Wow just wow ... Well at least you don't have to buy anything

I'm sure it will make a difference unless like Dan said they have the injectors hooked up wrong

If it is on the same part of the harness as the VDI, SSV and AIR solenoid plugs it is the last injector on the rail

The rest are not so difficult. The common fubar is the one that was off...mixed with the rear primary..they both fit in each others spot

You can check the wire colors to make sure. I have the dia if you need it at home...so in an hour or so if you cant find it

I think I figured it out. The thing in the picture was throwing me off because it has the same wire colors as an injector so I thought it was an injector but then I realized it wasn't. What is that thing in the picture anyway?

I'm confused now.
You don't have an injector connection issue?
Sorry but I don't understand

No I do haha sorry (it's connected now tho)
I was trying to figure out if the injectors were hooked up correctly and thought that thing was an injector so I was confused about how many injectors there were. But I figured out which ones are injectors. No I still had a disconnected injector lol but its connected now, all the injectors are correctly hooked up and I'm reinstalling the UIM

Okay everybody! It's running great! I can't believe it! It's completely fixed. It has run like crap ever since I got it back in September and now it runs great!

I guess I'll be pulling my UIM and testing injectors this weekend. Maybe I have one that is failing.

Glad to hear it's fixed though!

Awesome. This is great!

Really happy for you Cliffjumper.

Could you or do you have any idea why or how the injector connector was disconnected?

You mentioned something about a previous owner?
Did he do something with the injectors?

The previous owner replaced the engine himself (he owns a garage)
with a reman that had ~30k on it. He didn't seem like the smartest guy in the world. So considering the fact that it has done this ever since I got it, that tells me that the idiot just neglected to hook the damn injector up when installing the engine. And before you ask, I didn't know this when I bought it. The guy insisted on riding with me for the test drive because "it wasn't insured". Since he was with me, I didn't try to redline it and since it ran fine below 5k, I figured it was fine above 5k (don't flame). Boy was I wrong! I've had to suffer because of my presumptions haha. I still got an 8 in great cosmetic shape (and now good mechanical shape) for only $6000.

Things that still need fixing:
Rear springs are bad I think
Replace plugs again because of the stupid injector
Replace tires
CEL doesn't work
Coolant level light doesn't work

But I still love it!

Glad you found it. I never in a million years would have guessed disconnected fuel injector.

Me either. I'm just glad I noticed that random connector when I was connecting the new sensor. It sure runs great now...I just need new plugs
