Maybe, only way to know for sure is to remove the UIM IMO
But hold on a bit ...

Rorschach is going to go out at lunch and check what he's got ... dunno maybe his UIM is a part or something.

I've posted your thread in the B@W thread to get more eyes on that connector pic.

It looks like the rearmost fuel injector connector..that is the only thing that looks like that back there on the harness

3 connectors are for SSV, VDI and SecAir Solenoids..

Abnormal for an injector plug to be bent back, but it is what is appears to be.
Mildly important, might want to look into it

Wow that seems like it could definitely cause power loss haha. The connector is part of the same harness as those three vertical connectors in the picture, which are apparently the 3 connectors for SSV, VDI and SecAir Solenoids..

It is a Denso injector plug...so that's all it could be

That would cause power loss all right ..look for a yellow injector with nothing plugged into it

Ugh that means I'll have to take my UIM off after all

But at least I know what it is! Thanks!

Thats very generic statement considering there's a lot more in the engine harness which is what your referencing, but agreed its an injector connector, i'd guess at your rear secondary injector plug to narrow it down a little more

You should be able to get at it..feel down the fuel rail and it is just under it on the end.

You might want to take the UIM off anyway and have a good look around. Make sure all the manifold seals are in place and not pinched or something

Lol yeah, not O2... I'd just woken up so I'll use that as an excuse.

But that means our problems might not be related if it is in fact an injector plug because I've had my fuel rails out and reinstalled them since the problem started so all mine are good for sure.

Can't wait to see what it is though... For the UIM, the key is to use this setup...

Socket --> 3in extension --> universal --> another extension --> ratchet

They may not be related, but my car does seem to run smoother and have more power with the new sensor, it just didn't fix my problem like I hoped. I sure hope this fixes it though

Not my own pic, found it in an old thread back in '09, it's in regards to upgrading the fuel injectors for a greddy turbo kit. Best I could find that showed the fuel injectors since I couldn't get a clear shot of mine in the parking lot lol.

the connector with blue and white wires go to your 2nd injector.

I got it off! I'd like to go throw some bricks through the windows of the new Benz that the previous owner bought because sure enough there was a lonely yellow
injector with nothing plugged into it. I'm grabbing and drink and putting it back together. I'm crossing my fingers!

You might want to check and see if they are in the correct position as well...it is easy to mix up the rear primary and the one that is off...check where it comes off the harness..and the wire colors
