Fault at higher speeds
Hi sorry that my first post had to be a technical one I have a 2005 rx8 192 with a k&n induction kit and a decat pipe but on a standard exhaust system and while going at speeds of an excess of 70-80mph its almost asif the engine is overfuelkng and feels down on power , either over fueling or a misfire , it has new plugs new leads and new coil packs within the last 1000miles is this happenin because of an lack of ecu remap or is there something I'm. Missing? Also I don't have a eml light on even though I have no cat is that just lucky? Thanks Adam

There is no warning light active so i doubt there will be a code to read it doesnt feel like the clutch is slipping pulls fine, is it possible that the fuel pump can not deal with more air coming in and out the exhaust causin leaning out

There are error codes that don't produce a warning light.
I had a friend with an Audi A4 that couldn't get his car above 70mph because of a slipping clutch. I guess he didn't try to accelerate hard enough in the lower gears to produce any slippage. Air resistance caused it at the higher speeds.

To test slipping clutch, put in second gear and let it rip. If your RPM increases suddenly disproportionate to locomotion, then gradually grabs as it drops in RPM, you most likely have slipping clutch.

It definitely doesnt feel like the clutch is slipping I give the car plenty of stick it's just when I get to around 70mph it bogs and there is no power, the revs don't increase disproportionate to vehicle speed , I can get an obd reader on it this week
