Radiator light, Traction light, Engine light

I had posted a while back about purchasing an RX-8. I have since purchased a white 2005 6 port MT RX-8. I love it!! It runs excellent, but the engine light was on along with the radiator light and traction light. The driver's door speaker also makes a buzzing static sound. I was told the engine light was an oxygen sensor and the dealer I bought it off of took it to his mechanic to have it replaced for free. The other lights were also supposed to be fixed, but after 5 days all they could tell me is "We think it's a ground wire or something, we're not sure." I picked it up because I got sick of waiting. To me, I would think it would be the actual sensors, but I guess that's something they should have tested. Who knows though, they didn't bother to inform me as to whether they did or not. So I come here to ask if anyone here has had this issue? I want to take it to a Mazda dealership to see what they say, but I figured I would come here first to potentially save some money. Any thoughts? Thanks!

You know the Mazda Dealer normally charges $150 just to do electronic diagnosis right? You should have let the original Dealer sort it out. If you still have the 3-4 day return warrantee take it back to him or just live with it. This stuff won't be covered under the ususal 30 day driveline warrantee. Now you know why the last guy traded it in!!

It is rare to get out of a dealship without spending $500. Doesn't matter what car you drive. That's where they make most of their money.

Good luck. I love my car too but fortunately it's my "second" car.

btw: The radiator light is a common bad float inside the overflow bottle. Must replace whole bottle for $140 BEING CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK TIT OFF OF PLASTIC RADIATOR or simply unplug the thing and the light will go out.

LOL... well that's the main problem, the mechanic that worked on it last week couldn't figure ANYTHING out!! They were completely worthless. I know dealer's charge a lot for pretty much anything, but I'm thinking about taking it to this other mechanic that has a lot of experience with RX-8's, he races a couple. The last guy didn't trade it in, it was actually repossesed from him. I am the second owner.
