Fans = Dead Battery
I have the mazsport cooling fan mod and have no problems. Even before i installed it my fan would stay on after i shut the car off. One time it stayed on for 5 minutes. The fans stay on until the engine is cooler. I think the stock setup turns the fans off at 195 Degrees. The mazsport cooling mod turns them off at 185. Also my battery is over 3 yrs old and no problems. Its ok that the fans are running after you shut off the car.
Listen to Invasion and read your damn manual. It's okay that the fans stay on after you shut off the car. The OP had a weak battery, that's it.
I live in hot humid Florida, have an 05, original battery, and have the cooling fan mod for well over a year. I can't say as I've ever had them come on after the car was shut off, but I of course have had them on at shut off and continued to run for about 3 minutes or so. I always have my Scangauge II measuring water temperature and battery voltage..........as two of the four guages.
Sometimes I will even pull into the garage and let the fans come on before I shut it down, just for that extra cooling...................hell, I even lift my hood when getting home after spirited driving.
