Factory navigation not working. Please help.

Just a couple of days ago the navigation in my 2004 was working fine. Sense then I disconnected the battery to replace the coils and now the navigation doesn't work. When I push the "open" button, it beeps but nothing happens. If I push the screen up manually, it is blank. I can hear the navigation disk when I push "open". Any ideas?

I seem to remember something about removing the room fuse and then leaving the key in the on position for a few seconds to calibrate the voltage or something like that. Ash8 started a thread with some tech tips and I think it was in one of them.

Edit, here it is:

If that doesn't work, you're going to have to take apart your center console and everything above and including the ash tray in order to get to the nav hood.

Then you're going to have to take that apart and recalibrate the potentiometer. Same thing happened to me and the room fuse thing didn't work.

Hell if I know exactly what it is haha! But yes, the voltage gets screwed up and you have to reset the potentiometer in order for the gears to be realigned that open the hood.

All I know is how to do it to get it functioning again. There are several posts about it, search around (I think it was answered in the Apple CarPC thread or something like that).
