Engine start problem

I changed recently my spark plugs, wires and coils and my alternator also on my 8 05. The problem is my engine won't start, maybe due to a misconnection on the wire between spark plug and coils. I red that the wire have to be connect in a precise order which is: front to rear, L1 T1 L2 T2. is that correct? and the coils i have ordered have number on it (1,2,3,4) do they have to respect a precise order too?

Coils are all the same.... your order is correct. Just make sure you have them connected correctly at the plugs...the housings are labelled L and T

I have read in other threads about Coils and Plug wires change, if the specific wire from a coil is connected to the wrong spark plug that a severe detonation could occur. That's what was mentioned, however, the description was vague as what is a 'catastrophic failure to the engine'. I hope that's not what happened

Coil placement doesn't matter, it's where the wires are connected from which coil to which spark plug. Other members have also mentioned that their battery connection leads are loose causing the engine not to start, your electrical connector to the Ignition Coils may have not been snapped completely; check that as well. LF(L1)=Leading Front TF(T1)=Trailing Front LR(L2)=Leading Rear TR(T2)=Trailing Rear

Here is the diagram:

i verified all my wire connections, they are all snapped on and on the good plug, but it won't start. I found that a bolt with a connector is missing where the front combustion chamber is supposed to be... like over each pair of spark plugs there is a bolt with an electric wire (maybe a sensor). my rear rotor as one but the front's one missing (there a threaded hole) what is the part missing? is it the cause of my problem?

Just as RX8Soldier asked, if you don't hear anything wind up, it could be an electrical problem.

That was my initial thought. Search the DIY section on how to perform the deflood procedure, or reference your service manual.

I think mine may be flooded. Been having hot start issues and after replacing the plugs last night, it started and ran fine, maybe shut it off too soon cause it won't cold start this morning and sounds completely different than my previous/existing hot start problem. I tried the deflooding procedure in the user manual and I can here it attempt to crank up, but just not quite getting there. I read the thread about putting washer fluid into the chamber, does that really work? I'm leery as hell about pouring more fluid into an already flooded engine.

just remove the fuel pump fuse, crank it like 10 times (10 sec, 10 sec pause). then put your fuse back then start it. do that several times and it should work

Tried the method in the manual of pressing the accelerator to the floor while cranking, tried the washer fluid into the service ports (NEVER DOING THAT DUMB **** AGAIN), and finally went with the dealer's route, plugs out, fuel pump disconnected, crank crank crank and let it sit. Putting it back together in about an hour, should start up no prob. Can't wait till the neighbors see all the smoke!

So I'm confused now. I cranked it several times last night with the plugs out and fuel pump disconnected and then let it sit for at least 18 hours. The plugs look fine, I've got spark to the plugs, but when I put it back together tonight...nothing. Won't even try to start. The starter's turning, but I here no spark when I turn the ignition. Take it back apart, checked, and the plugs, wires, coils are all producing spark when not in the engine. No idea what's going on

I've searched everywhere for this problem and I can't find any info. I've read that one deflood procedure involves injecting oil into the combustion chamber through the plug holes, and I know that oil gets injected into the renesis engine and people use an oil premix in their gas tank...but here's what my plug holes look like during deflooding with the dealer procedure.

Is there supposed to be oil coming out with the gas? Or is this the dreaded sign that I have a blown apex seal?
