Follow up on my limp mode. Berge Mazda (Gilbert, AZ) diagnosis is replace the OMP.... $1500 + labor ....

 

Got my car back yesterday and it's fine. Here's the service notes from the tech, even though the auto zone readers said they couldnt pull a code:

"Customer states CEL is on, Failure of OMP, Code P1688 Stored in PCM. Followed workshop manual, replaced OMP, updated PCM and verified operation."
