So today i tried to install a aux port in my 04 rx8 (gt, 6-disk, manual) using these instructions [www.whatsmyip.org/lib/rx8-aux-ipod-input/] and its looking like i failed completely. After reinstalling my cdplayer, i found that my entire center console isnt working! There are no lights illumiating at all including the radio info, climate control, or even cigar tray light, Although, the heated heats are working. After attempting to start my car i found that my battory had been reset during this process somehow due to the trip odomiter being reset and the dsc flashing on the hud. Ive tried pushing on both sides of the cd to be sure those screws are contacting, when i put the radio together everything fit together nicely and i followed the instructions perfectly. so...what should i do now?
