Electrical issue
I was installing some gauges the other day and noticed some wiring that had been added by the previous owner in the same bundle you would use to install footwell lights. I am not sure what it was for tho as it isn't attached to the same wires you would use. After installing the gauges and driving for a little bit, I set my foot on the dead pedal and and out go my hvac unit lights, red/blue main guage pod lights (white ones still work), and the red puddle lights that illuminate the door locks. I checked every fuse that I could find that I thought could be related to this and a bucnch of others and found nothing. I even called Mazda and one of their techs reccomended checking the fog light fuse (even tho I don't have fogs), didn't work. Anyone see something I am missing or have a simialar issue? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
edit: I should add that I was poking around with the added wiring from the previous owner and hit it with my foot when I placed my foot on the dead pedal.

Uninstall your gauges, if you can, and go back to your previous setup and see what happens. If you can't go back to your previous setup I would start checking ground wires.

I have checked all my grounds and everything is good. The gauges are working fine.
I should add that I was poking around with the added wiring from the previous owner and hit it with my foot when I placed my foot on the dead pedal, I had not ziptied it back far enough apprently.
Pics of the extra wiring.

you might have by passed the fuse, by shorting the car out on the metal dead pedal. If thats the case your probably blew the lights, and possible a couple of electronic components.
I recommend super bright LEDS product number WLED-xHP9-T
I have had these bulbs in my doors for over 6 months now, and they havn't failed. Through a 110 degree texas summer to temps now being below freezing. I run the red lights but you can pretty much use any color you want.

So is it only bulbs that are out? and all the electronics function normally? If thats the case then at least its a somewhat easy fix. It wont be cheap to replace that many bulbs. By the way the light bulbs in the door and the one that illuminates the ignition key placement are just mini peanut bulbs. The only thing is that you will have to buy a lot of bulbs lol.
