Display gibberish

My display has gone haywire. It started today. The controls work fine. 2004, bone stock. To my knowledge, the hu has never been removed.

Update:

Fixed. Disconnected battery completely. Discharged and trace amounts of electricity. Reconnected and now it works fine.

Hey Joe, I recently have the problem. Kinda wonder what do you mean when you say "discharge and trace amounts of electricity"? thanks
