coolant leaking weird location

NC coolant leaking weird location

i have 2004 mt coolant is leaking from small hole in transmission about 4 inch from oil pan what does this mean car seems to run fine no overheating saw smoke one day and noticed coolant was a low couldnt find anything leaking so put it on stands and warmed it up crawled under and saw it leaking from what appears to be some type of weephole any advice appreciated

its possible that there is something leaking on top of the engine and as leaks go downwards, its ending up coming out of that hole, i would really take a good look on the rear top of the engine, there is a hose on the top left of the rear housing.

that being said, there are a couple of freeze plugs behind the flywheel, so it is very rare, although possible its leaking from the rear of the engine. it also could be a loose/broken tension bolt.

man thanks i got my flashlight out and see the hose your talking about cant tell if its leaking gonna have to remove entire intake but thats easier than the tranny if its freeze plug might as well change clutch while its off hope not
