help..... no start....
so i had a misfire on cylinder 2 (cobb unit) i decided to change the spark plugs after that was done i hooked the battery back up and the car started up just fine, i let it idle for a few minutes and slowly reved it up past 6k after it was warm. I shut the car off for a few minutes and went to take it for a spin and it starts then just bogs down. I cant start it
the spark plug install went very smooth and it started no problems after i did it and my car never had a problem with starting before
update)i waited 5 minutes and the car started but the tcs light is still on (usually stays on for a little when the battery is unplugged)
Im gonna drive it around for 5 minutes, Im assuming the ecu needs time? Hopefully when im done the car will start when its warm
update) drove around shut her off and she started right up again. Is it possible that my k&n typhoon sucks that much that my ecu was trying to get the air/fuel correct after i connected the battery? or is it because the front 02 sensor is no good?

1) Disconnecting the battery clears learned parameters in the ECU, including fuel trims, wheel rolling diameter, and steering position sensor. The clearing of the fuel trims can easily make your 8 have trouble idling at first. The clearing of the steering position sensor means that you need to turn the wheel from lock to lock to give it that data. You can do that immediately, no need to drive. You get the wheel rolling diameter with one, or maybe a few more, rotations of the wheels. The next time you start the car the DSC will be gone.
2) The K&N typhoon screws with the MAF horribly. The ECU can't figure out what to make of it. You will be prone to various CEL codes being thrown, power loss, trouble at low rpm flow stability, etc... I highly recommend removing it and reverting to stock. If you really want aftermarket, go with AEM, Mazdaspeed, or Racing Beat.
3) As I've mentioned to you before, with your O2 sensor having trouble, you can not be sure of anything your engine is doing, because the ECU doesn't know what it's doing. Get that fixed asap.

Thank you sir. I am one who is learning, and I do appreciate the input. Unfortunately I am learning the hard way, having made a lot of ignorant mistakes with my 8 before I discovered the Club, and fear I may have cost myself some serious money. I am trying to be sure I don't make anymore problems for myself. Thanks again.
