COBB Accessport error 1014

I searched for this issue and all I came up with was from the Subie forums stating that COBB unit is the wrong one for my model. o.O .... how ?? Some background info, the COBB was purchased ages ago, and I have the Stage 1 map installed with couple of minor modifications to it including fan turn on temps. Anyhow, I updated my firmware of the Accessport about 2-3 weeks ago but didnt get the chance to test it on the vehicle yet. This is first ever firmware update I ever did, the version now installed is v1.6.1.1-13820 AP-MAZ-001 since the AP manager notified me of newer updates. Now this morning after I started the car, the MIL was on, which freaked the bejesus out of me, so I grabbed the AP and loaded it up, but I could neither read codes nor datalog, instead I got the error code 1014 stating I should contact Technical Support. Is there anyway to downgrade to my original firmware again ? I find it highly odd that it all of sudden states it is a mismatched AP for my model car

EDIT : I have read the code with my backup Auterra Dashdyno scanner and it was the P0457 EVAP leak ( gas cap ) code .. which last night I filled up. So now have that cleared and sorted out, but now I have a brick of a COBB ...

Just Call Cobb when you can. That's the only thing you can do.

Thanks, 9K. So I did and I retested the COBB last night and it worked again, have no idea why it freaked out on me the other day, but everything seems to be smooth again. I retested by uploading and reflashing a new modified map. And did some datalogs, so far so good. Phew .... Although I didn't change anything hardware or software wise on the AP itself .... strange ..... but I'm a happy man.

Good to hear, I guess it just needed a reboot.
