Can you explain "not really grabbing the gears". Is it slipping, grinding, not engaging ?

A few things to check first, Is there sufficient fluid in the reservoir, how much free play do you have at the pedal, how many miles on the clutch, has the oil in the tranny been changed in the last 30k miles, if it has, which oil was used .
