clutch problem???

Hey guys,
I think this is a clutch problem but not sure.
When i am idling the car makes a noise.
But when i push the clutch down, it sounds smooth.
Do you think i need a new clutch
or what could it be?

The throw-out bearing is in use WHEN you press the clutch pedal in.
So if it was a bad throw-out bearing, the sound would get worse as you press the pedal in.

Many performance transmissions, ours included, have gear tooth tolerances that are purposely designed wide to alleviate gear-to-gear friction/drag. The compromise-downside is some chatter noise at idle in neutral with the clutch engaged.

The right transmission fluid will often reduce this "gear rollover" noise issue, e.g. Redline MT-90.

btw: general info - we share transmissions with the MX-5 Miata.
