Hey guys, been awhile since I've visited the forums, having some issues with the car again and I thought I might seek some expert advice before I take the car into the dealer (ironic right?)

Anyway, I've had a history with this car with this same problem, it'll idle at 750 while in Drive at a stop, and get really choppy, then all of a sudden, she just gives up and dies -- BEFORE back in 07 when I had this problem, I took it in 3 times for that problem, and the eventually broke down and said "We can't figure out whats wrong, so we'll just replace the motor". No cost to me, drove a rental for a month, and everything was GREAT, now we're back to the same routine again.

It's usually associated with a hissing/leaky air noise while driving, and when thats going on all of a sudden the RPM's drop by about 250ish and lose power, it's like it's jekle and hyde, ones the beast that makes me happy, then the other comes out and it's like driving around a 3 cyl Geo that makes weird noises.

On top of that, my brakes make a horrendous squealing noise, after taking it to an outside repair shop, and the dealer TWICE, I'm told "we can't replicate the problem, and your brakes look fine, so sorry". I don't know how they can't, EVERYTIME I brake, it's loud as hell, and for the full duration of the stopping process, it's insane!!

Anyway, anyone got an ideas as to what I'll be looking at, or any fixes I can do myself without taking it into the stealership?
