Check Engine Light On, Code 302, Turbo

Have 04 that I bought about 2 months ago. Original owner put Greddy Turbo, Tanabe Exhaust & Revi Gauges & Controller. Car has check engine light on. Original Owner claims it has been on for many years. He clears it by disconnecting battery. Scanner gives code 302 in 2nd position (which is a secondary) but there is no misfire. I have changed ignition wires, spark plugs & coil. Check engine light was off but then came back on. Engine runs very smooth. Any suggestions on what is causing this and how to stop it?

yeah ditto. I'm getting tired of my check engine light coming on and going off, and I have just learned to ignore it which doesn't seem very safe. Once again I had the dealer check it today (for some $100!) when I did an oil change and they find no issues.

BTW, I live in Canada and am not aware of places that will read the code for free.

Ignore my comment about not finding other posts on the topic.

I don't think it is a gas cap thing (dealer didn't suggest this either). I guess I could ask for new gas cap though. This is a 2005 RX8 bought new in 2006.

Surely others have had this problem. I have done some searching here but haven't found much on the topic (or too many hit perhaps in my search!).
