not to long ago my center console on the display started going crazy like the matrix and everytime i hit a small bump the cd would skip, one day i hit a wall due to losing control in the rain just scratched up the front n cracked the mazda sign but still drivable, the cd kept skipping crazy and wouldnt turn off or couldnt lower the volume so I hit the power button and it finally went off but now my radio and whole center console doesnt work only thing that works i can turn on the AC since that was the last thing i was using so I cant turn the heat on or put it to un-fog the windows. so any help with that?

also i replaced all my fuses on the bottom panel, but noticed my audio didnt have a fuse in it so i put a fuse in it (yes the right one) and when i started my car it would start then lose power, after 10 minutes later i tried again it lost power but then it started up it drove good, but to be safe i took that fuse out the audio again just to be safe. do anyone know what this problem can be?

My display just went "Matrix" too. This is one module and local Mazda dealer says $316.00 plus diagnostics. I don't see any way out except replacing this.
If anyone knows a way out....please respond.

ebay. buy a new radio with faceplate and everything except the AC controls and just replace it. My screen fucked up once too and it wasnt the screen but the actual Computer with the radio that sends the signal should run you like 50-120 for the unit. I may have one. PM me and ill get back to you

Has anyone even consider looking to see if the faceplate is connect properly? Mine use to do the "matrix" till I pulled the radio out and retightened the faceplate.

would an aftermarket radio and metra kit fix this? my screen just goes crazy but my whole radio is fine. im trying to avoid the dealership
