CEL flashing, loss of power high rpm

hey guys, just bought an rx8 an it was running great up until friday. I took it to the mechanic to change spark plugs, but I only took two because thats how much auto value told me it had (guess not). anyways on the way home i put my foot down in first, and the car started bogging and the cel started flashing at around 6-9k. the cat recall has already been done in the car, so im pretty sure its something to do with the new plugs. any suggestions? thanks

Well, if I'm reading this right, it sounds like you need two more plugs. Did you change the coils, too?

thanks for the reply, yeah the two old plugs are still in the car, so ill go out and buy two more and get those in soon. coils werent changed, but if the car is still hesitating after the new plugs I'll probably have too change them. Is there any possibilty its the cat?
