CEL...car runs great though...HELP!
ok it happened on a warm engine at 7000rpm in 4th 100mph... CEL came on blinking...then stayed steady...no loss of power or engine shutdown. Engine temp was golden...oil pressure was golden. Drove home (about 5 miles) keeping rpm low as possible. turned car off, left overnight. morning....CEL on steady...startup and runs great. no loss off of power. used advanced auto diagnostic tool..said cylinder 2 misfire. I dunno whats going on...i dumped some seafoam in the gas tank...drive it for about 5 miles...no change. I could use some help I don't know what to do, and i dont want to damage the engine!! Thanks!!

your car misfired, that's why the CEL was blinking
common issues associated with misfires are: ignition coils, spark plug wires (one could be loose / broken) or old spark plugs.
how many miles on your car?
last time those items were replaced?
and WTF were you doing driving at 100mph?
P.S. your oil pressure gauge is a 'dummy' gauge, it will never tell you what your oil pressure is so never rely on it. IF the system detects any oil pressure (ie; your car turned on) then it goes to the exact same spot every time and stays there.

replace them.
our spark plugs usually get replaced every 20,000 - 35,000 miles so you're overdue.
Ignition coils are hit or miss on this car. Some people have them go out very early and others have reported 60,000+ miles on them.
I would play it safe and order 4 new ignition coils and a set of OEM ngk spark plugs. A weak ignition system can lead to bigger headaches down the road if not fixed.

this is my first rotary and im not much of a mechanic. Replacement of these parts pretty straight forward. I mean i have identified the plugs and wires but, i dont want my butterfingers causing more problems. Can i get get the parts form advanced or autozone? or should i go through the dealer?
