Engine starting
i've noticed that when i go to start my engine in the morning, it takes about 1.5 seconds before it starts. when it does start, it sounds crisp and really good, but my friends all think my engine is messed up because it takes longer than normal. is it a bad thing or is it just due to the fact that it's a rotary engine?
one more thing: when i start my engine when it's already hot, it sounds extremely weak as opposed to when it's cold in the morning. normal?

Do some searches!
If it's an 04, you could have an older starter??????
If you want help, we'd have to know the mantainace history of the car and whether it has the latest flashes or not, but............I will tell you that you might want to take it in and tell them you have hard starts. This may lead to a compression check if starter is good and all flashes are current.
