car wont start. It isnt flooded.

heres the scoop. i had the old weak starter so i went to mazda to buy the new one. got the new one and went to take the old one off but stripped the nut holding on the wire. got frusterated messing around with it annd called it quits for the night so i put it all back together and hooked the battery back up andd went to start the car to make sure it was still working. turned the key to turn everything on and all was normal. turned it further to start the car and everything shut off and car did not start. i have no clue what to do now. im going to try and get that nut off to change to the new starter to see if that will fix anything but not sure what will happen. just replaced all coils wires plugs and put it a optima battery.

it probably a dead battery. you also may have a bad ground.

i just got the battery recharged after i changed the coils plugs and wires right befroe the starter cause it was still starting weak. do you know where the bad ground would be at? the battery terminal or the starter or somewhere else?

i would start by looking at all the connectors you took off to replace these two things. start with your battery its the easiest wiggle the lead around and see if it can freely move on the terminal if so its not tight enough. second check your starter leads make sure they are also making good connection. if i could guess i would guess its on your starter since all your interior lighting still comes on. if you had a bad connection nothing would prob come on.

none of the interior lights came on after i tried starting it. i just busted the little plastic clip on the grounding wire on the starter trying to get a better connect on it. anyone know where you could get those? and the nut and bolt holdig the main wire to the starter are still stripped and its to tight of a fit for vice grips any ideas?

so i got the stripped nut off. cut it off with a dremel and got th new starter on but still no power to the car whatsoever. door lights are not even coming on. battery is fully charged but no clue what to do from here....wondering if it could be the starter realy? or any other fuses but dont know which ones to check.
