2004 6spd rx8

1,2,3 seems find when shifting above 8k rpms
for some reason it doesnt want to shift into 4th but when i force it , the thing seems to grind into it then smooths out after.

or i just skip to 5th and 6th when i hit 8-9k rpm in third gear getting onto the freeway

no idea what the problem is and this thing doesnt have transmission mounts correct?
would it be a problem with fluids or transmission itself? only got 60,000 miles on it i bought car at 54,xxx few months back then dealer warrantied new motor for failing compression. since then all high way miles.

someone help please, dont want to have to get rid of the car

thanks for the advice but i've already done that and read up on some threads before i had posted this , btw it only happens when im at around 8-9k rpm trying to shift to 4th

 

transmission rebuild time.

 

thats not good news at all i've barely owned the car for few months
