Cabin Temperature/Thermostat Issue

I think maybe there is a mechanical issue with the thermostat for the cabin, but im not sure. During the winter/spring change over (when i need heat or not) i noticed that when i wanted heat, it would not come on until i turned the **** all the way to hot, then it was getting WAY to hot, so i would bring it back :::::one single notch::::: and it would start to get really cold, though the **** was clearly still in the hot side.

Any ideas????

It is a common fault..the part to fix it ( **** assembly) is covered by the bumper to bumper warranty...otherwise it is about $200 I think

Mine is doing it too...I'm going to pull the unit out and see if I can fix it though before I replace it...

Without having the A/C nor Heater on..Does it include the warm air that seems to be coming from under the dash (primarily the passenger side).. ??I already know about the cup holders area being normal...

There are no abnormal heat sources. I have no mods or anything anywhere. Its a stock car. I know the heater core is fine, because i do get heat, and lots of it, when i get the **** to work.

Its is your A/C control head most likely, the temperature control **** is known to go bad, will be covered under warranty. Its an exchange unit which means it will have to be ordered and youll have to go back to have the units swapped.
