My RX-8 was just broken into, no physical damage that I could see, stole my ipod and some cash that was in the car. Reported to the police, they told me that the Mazda line has problems where if you grasp the drivers handle, pull it up then punch the car hard on top of the handle the lock pops, at the same time it disables the alarm. I went back to the car and saw a slight dent right on top of the handle where it looked like someone had punched it. Has anyone else heard of this? I find it hard to believe and a bit scared to keep anything in the car anymore!

 

Its worse, it also effects Mazda 3 & 6. I wonder if its the some punk that did it to this other Vancouver 8 owner??

Wow................never heard of this one!
Bet it doesn't disable the shock sensor alarm though!
You just tap on my glass with one knuckle and it will set it off.
Sorry to hear aboout the break-in, at least they didn't mess it up or steal it.

 

Um, can we delete this thread to keep other jack offs out of our cars. Safety issue folks.

 

first of all, never EVER leave anything of value out where other people can walk by and see. that's just telling someone to break in and steal it.
