Smile Bose Speaker Issue

Well, my driver side door speaker has been fucked up for quite some time now and I want to get it fixed since the dealership won't cover it. Basically, the sound is there sometimes and when it isn't, I smack my door and the sound comes back sometimes. I was told by a shop that I need a new speaker because the top small speaker works perfectly fine meaning the connection is fine. If this is the issue, do I just need to buy another bose speaker or what do I need to fix the problem? Thanks!

I can tell you this much, if you check and it is a loose connection wont you be happy you didnt buy a new bose speaker?... i suggest this because i,ve seen $80k generators be disabled cus of a bad connection... so i say give it a try, you got nothing to lose.

If not the connections to the speaker it could be the connector wiring inside the speaker itself (don't ask my amplified sound wave abused ears how I know this). Fixing connections issues inside a speaker itself can be done, depending on just what is connecting to what. Soldering in repairs tends to fail rather soon due to the rapid, sometimes violent motion the speaker is exposed to.

Save up some money and replace the speakers as they are the weak link in the stero system.

No need to take it apart and waste the labor.
