In summary, I had a metra kit for a few months and now i'm reinstalling my bose unit. I will hopefully get all this solved when I actually have more free time, but if there's any ideas, please help :

I had a few issues with the metra kit which may be related to the issues I have now (?), like the fact that the top right of the display (air control) was always blank, and the lights around the middle air selector didn't change. All three lights except AC stayed lit 24/7, but the functions did work and change as needed.


So now, putting the bose back in i've run into a few snags. I haven't really had that much time to work on it, so i'm hoping these may just be minor issues... My townhome neighborhood strongly forbids working on cars, so i've been casually sitting in my car for a half hour at a time trying to get everything together.

Yesterday, I had everything hooked up except the cable that runs here:


That's the display cable... Everything worked that was hooked up though, the radio and air controls worked. Except, the lights on the air control didn't change. The AC light stayed lit (opposite of what I had when the metra kit was in). The bottom button and the right side button (of the middle air control) made the ping noise when pushed, but none of the other buttons did.

So tonight I just hooked up the display cable. Now, no lights work (or are lit already) on the middle air control, no buttons make noise, and the functions don't work either. I hope maybe I just loosened a cable..i'll be checking tomorrow.


Everything did work flawlessly before uninstalling the bose unit, btw.
