I am going back to the shop today to talk everything over and hope to god somehting can happen quickly and painlessly. I will see if they have each and every dyno run saved. Wish me luck everyone, I think I'm gonna need it.

Since it's Halloween, you should dress up as a street walker. That way, if they try to f&*k you, you will feel like you had it coming. Best of luck. It might turn out alright after all.

Wow...I'd be curious to know how you decided to go with these guys? Was it word of mouth, etc...that pointed you in their direction?
Hopefully things work out for you.

lol, thanks but I'm driving my bros 04 accord now, 4cyl, so good gas saver. Anyway, i went back today and they shoved the same poop down my throat as they did previously. I called another professional and told him my situation. He agrees with me that they ran it way to lean and repeatedly over boosted it. At idle the afr was 17.5. At full throttle it mostly hovered around 15-16, still very lean, especially considering it was pushed 40 times! Anyway, the guy i spoke to said that turbo rotaries should be about 13 at idle. The scariest part was when it spiked it pinned to 17.5 on many occassions while full throttle was applied, so god knows it could have really been at like 30, no telling for sure. SO the guy i spoke too has a very reputable shop here in NC, and said he had never heard of the shop i used. They can rebuild my engine, they do this all the time on all previous gens of rx7's. He also agreed with me that if the vaccum line was melted when i brought it to them, it would have died on the first run, not the 40th, especially since its a renesis and not designed to take alot of boost w/o other fuel line upgrades etc. So, I believe I am in a much better position now getting many of my beliefs confirmed by a professional. If the shop that killed my car will not help out all, then the situation gets stickier than it alrdy is.

Farva, who did you talk to? If it's Rotorsports they are the guys to talk to, but they are a little expensive but the work is good. Hey if you want to put in a different motor than the Renesis here is a good one up for sale, $300 bucks less than the cost of a Renesis plus lots more horsepower: http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=476969

I was thinking they just have to fix sum afrs, and within 2 hrs or so we should be good. Little did I know the tuner was a complete moron. The guy doing the emanage maps i found out after they blew my engine doesnt even work there, and had never used emanage before. They werent getting any boost pressure readings on the laptop, and did not hook up my boost gauge like i had requested, so they had no clue what the turbo was doing yet proceeded to dyno it 38 times! If the line was infact melted, then the boost gauge would not have shown a reading, but then they should have realized the line was not functioning properly! Anyway, to make a long story short they over boosted the hell out of the car and leaned the hell out of it as well, and while doing so proeceeded to kill my engine! They told me it faield the compression test after it would not start, i believe the 2nd rotor read like 25 on the gauge!! I now do not know how this problem will be resolved, but i do know i am without my rx-8....
I just blew my engine, and it was overboosting for a while because the absolute idiots at ProStreet screwed up the install.
I also toasted my 1st rotor & have the R flash.
Coincidence? I think NOT !!!

lol. amazing what happens when idiots get paid to do **** to cars. I just can't believe how unprofessionaly the whole situation was handled. The best is when they claimed it wasn't there fault when they overboosted w/o using my gauge or boost controller, or how they aren't responsible for having a non employee lean the **** out of my car...sounds like they didn't do anything incorrectly!
