back fires on cold start

yes I have searched the forum...I just replaced the ignition coils, and now it will start...or it would...and when I get it running, it wont idle and it backfires really bad and wont start warm. any suggestions?

also, if the SSV is stuck open/closed...will it cause this problem^?

2004 almost 180000 just purchased from a dealership used (obviously :-p) I put new ignition coils on it about an hr ago...

Did the dealership give you any type of warranty? Most of the time, when it does not start when warm means you need a new engine.

bought as is...does that mean completely new engine? or possibly replace the apex seals?
