I have a 2004. Getting a P2004 and sometimes a P2010. I took the APV motor and white gear off. Gear seems to be spinning very freely. When you put the thread lock screw in; it gets harder to turn by a little. But that seems to be normal. However, when I took the motor off (APV Motor) and got someone to cycle the car without cranking it a few times. The motor did not turn.

I took the motor off cause I read that the motor is supposed to do a "test cycle" when you turn the key. I hooked it up via 12v and it spun fine.

Any help?

 

Did you check the wiring harness from the ecu to the APV plug?

Possible that you have a broken wire

 

Looked like the wires changed colors when it got to the ECU?

Anyway to test to see if I have a broken wire? Is there a ground somewhere on this?

Tested all wires going from Motor to the ecu. All tested good. What is next?
