Question ABS, TCS and Airbag lights on after hard turn.

I have recently had my RX8 ECU flashed after going to the dealer for a CEL. Since then, I have had the same issue happen to me 4 or 5 times. My morning drive includes getting onto the expressway via a 270 degree loop. On occasion, I get the opportunity to get on with no cars in front of me, and, let’s just say I take advantage of this :D . I love the way this car handles.

However, since the ECU flash, taking this turn at higher speeds causes the ABS, TCS and Airbag lights to come on. They do not turn off until I cycle the ignition.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Can this mean that some sensor has detected excessive lateral force and some issue with the ECU flash is shutting these systems off?

If this problem continues, I guess I will have to take the car back to the dealer to see if they can diagnose the problem.

not beaing a search nag just pointing youto threads that might help. 270 loop is mentioned inthe second one. try the eps stearing thing "turn all the way tot he left and then allthe way to the right and then back to center" to see if that makes the ligths turn off.

I had the same problem and it boiled down to the ABS speed sensor on the wheel. You may not have heard or noticed but the tires may have been sliding very slightly and this will cause an ABS error.

Check the ABS sensors. Good chance that one just came unplugged.
